FAQ's - Frequent Questions & Answers
How do I get started with HGH or Testosterone Therapy?
Fill out the form at the left or call us at 1-888-584-8882 for a free consultation. We need to make sure you are a good candidate for hormone therapy. HGH and testosterone are not for everyone and you will have to get evaluated first. We are nationwide and probably do have a clinic close by.
When I see one of your physicians will I automatically get my HGH and testosterone medications?
No. You are required to do a specific blood test before hand. You will also need to see one of our board certified physicians. We only treat patients with hormonal deficiencies including Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency, Hypogonadism/Andropause, Menopause or Hypothyroidism etc. If your natural hormone levels are high or there are contraindications to treatment then you will not be approved for treatment.
How are hormones medications used?
Testosterone is administered using either injections or a transdermal topical gel or cream that is absorbed through the skin. Estrogen and progesterone is best taken via a specially formulated cream or even a pill. HGH is taken by injection only. There are HGH sprays, pills and powders available but there is no evidence to suggest that they work!
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately not. Most insurance companies consider these therapies as elective and not a medical necessity. This is quite outrageous as we believe that hormone therapy should be covered by insurance plans as they improve the patient’s health in many different ways. As of now, HGH, testosterone and other bio-identical hormone therapies are out of pocket but well worth the money!
What are your prices?
Prices vary on a number of different factors. The types of medications prescribed, the dose, the duration of treatment etc. We don’t offer a “one size fits all” approach to our therapies. You are unique and our programs are designed to take into account your specific needs based on blood work, lifestyle, height to weight ratio and symptoms. We can only give exact pricing after you have been seen and evaluated by the physician but call us at 1 (888) 584-8882 to get some estimates.
Is hormone therapy safe?
Yes. There are many studies that have come out over the past years that have shown that when hormones are used by patients who have been screened by a physician and therapeutic doses have been prescribed, results are safe and effective. Remember, our programs are physician supervised and medically monitored to offer you absolute confidence safety and efficacy. HGH and testosterone replacement for men and women has become a very common medical practice for the treatment of menopausal and andropausal syptoms, a hormonal imbalance or deficiency.
Are there side effects?
As with any medication there is always a chance of side effects. As our physicians only prescribe appropriate doses side effects are greatly minimized. In fact, less than 5% of our patients experience minor side effects. This statistic is great when you consider the side effects that many medications may deliver! Our hormone doctors prescribe bio-identical hormones in our treatment programs.
When should I think about using hormones?
Most men and women experience problems associated with declining hormone in their late thirties. The best time to start using hormones is when you start to notice problems that affect your quality of life. You may be experiencing these problems and have no idea that they are low hormone related.
How do I know if the HGH and testosterone is working?
Most of our patients start to feel better in about 5 weeks. We are very good about supervising and monitoring our patients and over the course of a treatment order periodic blood testing to keep track of blood serum levels. This enables our doctor to ensure the medications are working in the safest way possible.
Do you recommend boosting both testosterone and HGH at the same time?
If your physician feels that you have an HGH deficiency and a testosterone deficiency she / he may recommend both testosterone and HGH at the same time. If you only have a deficiency in one they will only recommend replacing that particular hormone.
